Capital One - Superstars
Every football fan grew up wanting to be a superstar.
Capital One (an American company) wanted to be relevant in the UK. So in 2013, they sponsored The League Cup to appeal to football fans. But rather than creating a TV ad, I wanted to give fans something of value. So I came up with the idea of creating mini statues of themselves - rekindling their childhood dreams of being an idolized football legend (and harking back to the popular 90s football figurines). One thousand were made and fans genuinely loved them.
